Introducing volleyball
to grades 1st - 5th

Learn volleyball skills, meet new players and have FUN !

Where: The Launch Pad - 2650 Jordan Lane, Huntsville, AL 35816
When: Saturday, 9:30-10:45 am, December 6, 13, 20; January 10, 17, 24, 31; February 7, 21, 28 and March 7, 14, 21, 28
Ages: 1st – 5th Grade
Goals: To help train Rising Stars in learning the proper fundamental volleyball skills
Modifications: Reduced court size (for their age); lower net and a lighter ball
Each session: Includes demonstration of proper warm-up and stretching; introduction to the fundamental skills of volleyball; skill training that will reinforce basic fundamentals and provide FUN game-like situations.The last 15-25 minutes of each session will include introduction of game- play situations; active game play will be involved as the Rising Stars become more proficient in skills
Registration: Fee: $50 a month; $15 per session or save $25 and a slot when you register for a 4-month program $175. Pre-register and pay online

In 1994 Rose Magers-Powell started the Rocket City Volleyball Club in Huntsville, Alabama and quickly gained respect in the junior volleyball club community. While directing RCVC, Rose has had the goal of operating the club under the roof of her own training facility (The Launch Pad) so that she can train and assist more youth and coaches to attain their best. After years of focused saving and investing in pursuit of that goal, her vision was realized in 2009 with the opening of her state of the art, three-court training facility. Her club team practices at this facility, throughout the year and RCVC offers volleyball clinics, camps, and private lessons that are open to all volleyball players in the area.
